Evan Raymond Phillips collection guide

CreatorPhillips, Evan Raymond, 1936-1980Date1954-1977DescriptionProfessor Evan Phillips was born in Brisbane in 1936. After completing his secondary schooling at Brisbane State High School, he attended the University of Queensland where he graduated with first class honours. He completed his doctoral thesis while employed at the University of Sydney. In 1968 Dr Phillips joined the staff of the Wollongong University College. He became an associate professor in 1974. Professor Phillips published some 37 papers, many of which related to his major research interest in granitic and gneissic rock.
