The subject of controversy since it was closed in early November, the Coast Road was reopened one week ago today. -- The oldest man born in Australia died this morning in Thirroul. He was Henry Thomas Hunt, who was born in Ulladulla on August 4th, 1864. He was 103 years of age. -- The Wollongong branch of the Asthma Foundation is to build a heated swimming pool at Figtree. The president, Mr Shepherd said today the pool, for the treatment of asthma sufferers, would cost about $15,000. -- South Coast and Tablelands Farmers are today jubilant over that good falls of rain during the past two days. Good wetting showers have been falling throughout the viewing area, on and off since Wednesday night. -- After six years of almost perfect weather for their annual show, the Bowral Horse Show Society struck really wet conditions for their 1968 show. Over an inch of rain fell on the show's first day yesterday, and further rain fell today. -- Three United States nurses have enjoyed Australian hospitality on a Goulburn sheep station this week.
