Following an inspection this afternoon, Mr Thompson said the construction of an alternate road was a strong possibility. He said this was only a suggestion at this stage, and would need a full investigation before a decision was made. -- Everyone's heard of Swingin' London, and last night in Wollongong America set out to prove that even if the Statue of Liberty doesn't wear a mini skirt, she's still a swinger. And last night in David Jones' Wollongong store, 12 beautiful beautiful models wore a display of clothes ranging from bikinis to evening gowns. -- The Hume Highway, on the Southern Tablelands, has one of the worst accident records in the state. During the past 12 months, thousands of dollars have been spent trying to improve the highway, as well as increasing police patrols. The member for Goulburn, Mr Ron Brewer, said today he will press for even greater improvements next year. -- Dapto High School students, already with a list of Duke of Edinburgh Awards behind them, are embarking on another stage of the award. Dapto High School has been one of the strongest contenders for the coveted award, which is only made when a youth has proved himself. The latest attempt by the school is a canoe trip by four students during the weekend down the Kangaroo River and into the Shoalhaven River.
