Police are working to clear blockages at certain areas, but on most roads traffic, although heavy, is running smoothly. -- Tomorrow sees the first Saturday race meeting at Kembla Grange since before the last war. Secretary of the club, Mr Brian Murphy, is enthusiastic about the meeting, and expects it to draw record crowds. -- Big things have been predicted for Goulburn's industrial expansion for 1968. The expansion of the industrial area of Bradfordville, near Goulburn, during the last months, has been a record for the district. -- More than 600 Wollongong people paid tribute to Australia's late Prime Minister, Mr Harold Holt, in church services this afternoon. More than 400 people packed St Michael's Church of England at 12 noon, when the Wollongong Council of Churches held a combined memorial service. Another service service at 12:15 at Wollongong's Roman Catholic Cathedral attracted about 200 people. Mr Holt disappeared while swimming last Sunday, and since then has been pronounced dead by authorities. -- The thousands of entries in the annual Greenacres Christmas Hamper Appeal really received a good mixing before being drawn. The mixing was done with a ready mixed concrete truck, especially donated for the occasion. -- The people of Goulburn celebrated the Christmas season last night with a candlelight ceremony of Carols. Belmore Park was in darkness except for hundreds of candles flickering in the night, when more than 400 people attended a Carols by Candlelight ceremony. Proceeds from the evening went to four children's homes in Goulburn. -- With the bush fire danger period reaching its peak, Mulwarree Shire has just taken delivery of a new vehicle to meet the threat.
