Illawarra Unity is the journal of the Illawarra Branch of the Australian Society for the Study of Labour History. Its focus is on the history of the labour movement in the Illawarra district of New South Wales, Australia, though it also addresses broader issues at the national and international level. The journal was compiled under the general editorship of Professor Ray Markey, Department of Economics, University of Wollongong, during the period 1996-2004. Eleven volumes were issued. The editorial collective during 2005 included Dr. Anthony Ashbolt and Dr Damien Cahill, School of History and Politics, University of Wollongong, and Michael Organ. In 2006 it comprised Dr. Ashbolt, Jo Coghlan and Michael Organ. In 2007 Ms Coglan was replaced by Rowan Cahill. The last issue of Unity was published in 2012.
