The delay occurred when an engine crashed into trucks on the main line, causing a derailment. -- South Coast schools return tomorrow but one school will be quiet, apart from the noise of the builders - the new high school at Bomaderry. Originally, the first of two stages was to be finished for occupation tomorrow, but a series of events has made this impossible. -- Bulli Surf Club dominated the boat races at Austinmer surf carnival on Saturday and in the big Sydney event yesterday. The Bulli club was to win both the Open boat race and the Bb race at the Austinmer carnival. -- Every town in Australia has celebrated Australia Day in its own way; none more enjoyably than Bowral. -- The traditional show on the South Coast each Australia Day is the Kiama show. -- New methods are being used to speed up the waiting time for people without sewerage on the South Coast. John Martin spoke to the Minister for Conservation, Mr JG Beale about the waiting time. -- For people new to Wollongong, the Piccadilly Centre is just another shopping area.
