Alderman Fred Finch was violently opposed to giving any financial aid to the Society. Film with sound and script. -- Striking train examiners decided this afternoon to continue their 24 hour stoppage. The 50 examiners, who check the safety features on each train before it is allowed to run, are striking for higher penalty rates for shift work. Film with script and no sound. -- Port Kembla’s coal loader, which suffered early teething problems, is to fully tested during the next week. Film with script and no sound. -- The children of the South Coast township of Merimbula were treated as V.I.P.' s during the weekend. While many parents went fishing, the kiddies enjoyed a variety of sports. Armed with the spirit of competition, the children ran running races, sack, two-legged, and egg and spoon. Film with script and no sound. -- Kembla Grange Race club is suffering to some extent by the decision this year not to allow provincial clubs to hold meetings on the same day.
